What Does This Scan Include?

Your menopause pelvic ultrasound includes a detailed assessment of:
• The uterus
• The endometrial lining (thickness and texture)
• ovaries
• The adnexa (structures around the uterus, including fallopian tubes)
• The bladder and kidneys, only if clinically indicated

In some cases, we may recommend a transvaginal (internal) ultrasound for clearer imaging.

• It has been 12 months or more since your last period
• You are experiencing irregular or postmenopausal bleeding
• You have a family history of ovarian or uterine cancer
