No — you can book directly with us without a referral. If you're working with a fertility clinic, they may provide specific instructions for your monitoring.

Typically 3 scans per menstrual cycle, performed at 1-2 day intervals. Your first appointment includes a detailed gynaecological assessment; subsequent scans focus on the ovaries/endometrium and are offered at a reduced price.

Transvaginal ultrasound provides much clearer, more accurate images of the ovaries, follicles, and endometrium than an abdominal scan. This accuracy is essential for reliable fertility monitoring.

Most women find the scan only mildly uncomfortable. The probe is thin and inserted gently. You can ask to stop at any time if you feel uncomfortable.
