What You See at 12 Weeks
At 12 weeks, your baby has grown to about 6cm and weighs around 14g. You can see:
- A fully formed baby - all limbs visible
- Active movement - jumping, waving, stretching
- Strong heartbeat - around 150-170 bpm
- Developing features - face, fingers, toes
The 12-Week Milestone
This is an exciting milestone because:
- Risk of miscarriage drops significantly
- Many parents choose to announce their pregnancy
- Baby's major organs are all in place
- Screening tests can be performed
